Firehouse Shelter and Barons Game

I have lined up an awesome opportunity for our group to do some Kingdom Work and have some fun at the same time on Saturday July 27th.  I have spoken with the maintenance supervisor at The Firehouse Shelter in downtown Birmingham.  He tells me he has lots of manly tasks that need to be accomplished both at the shelter and at some of the apartments that the shelter runs.  There is sheetrock work, painting, tile-work and plumbing to name a few.  Head over to http://www.firehouseshelter.com for more information about the services provided by The Firehouse Shelter.  We will leave the church parking lot at 7:00 AM, stop somewhere on the road for a biscuit and arrive at the shelter around 8:00 and work till 4:00.  Bring a change of clothes and tools that you have pertaining to the work listed above.

We will head over to a local restaurant (location to be determined day of) and have dinner together.

Then we will had over to the brand new Regions Field and watch the Barons take on the Mobile Bay Bears at 6:05.  If you have not been to the new Regions park your in for a treat, it is an awesome experience.  After the game there will be a fireworks show.

I encourage every one to join in on all 3 of the above activities.  If you cannot make all 3, that is OK to you can join in or leave at anytime.

If you have any questions please feel fee to give me a call or email. 205-396-0153 bwvick@yahoo.com.

Please consider this a Father/Son event and feel free to include your boys on the trip.
